"Sweet Little Mary" - Sean Riley & The Slowriders

There was a time when Mary was younger
Everyday she'd go outside and play
Daddy eould come home, late from work
Never too tired to play along
'Till the sun came down and dinner was served
Mommy made sure Mary had all she deserved

Later they'd go out for a walk
Italian coffee and ice cream too
The stars in the sky led the way
Made sure that Mary had merry day

Someone up there must realyy care for sweet little Mary
For all her days are graced with bliss, oh sweet little Mary
Like a princess, like an angel, like a little fairy
She believed she was special, Sweet Little Mary

Years passed and everything changed
Daddy got sick and mommy grew strange
It was all too much, way too soo
Now at dinner time you'd find Mary
Locked in her room

Someone up there must have forgotten sweet little Mary
She ain't no princess, ain't no angel, ain't no little fary
She believed she was special, sweet little Mary
She feels betrayed, she feels deceived, oh sweet little Mary
